Andrew Gaines

Andrew is Head of the Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits in the U.S. office of Linklaters LLP. Andrew has practiced executive compensation and employee benefits for 40 years at several preeminent law firms, including Paul Weiss and Weil Gotshal, and has been recognized in the market as one of the top executive compensation and employee benefits lawyers in his field for many years.

Andrew has had the opportunity to advise clients on a wide array of complex executive compensation and employee benefits elements of public and private mergers and acquisitions, capital market transactions, and restructuring/bankruptcy matters. In addition, Andrew has been a leader in the New York bar, advising investment fund sponsors and pension plan investors on Title I ERISA matters.

Andrew has been recognized as a leading individual in employee benefits & executive compensation by Chambers USA and The Legal 500 for many years, with clients describing him as “an incredible subject matter expert who is also very practical.” 

In addition to serving on the RiverSpring Living Board of Trustees for 15 years, Andrew has served as Trustee of his alma mater Hobart College, for 14 years. Andrew is an avid golfer and racquet sportsman and enjoys working out. Andrew’s wife Monica,and his two adult daughters Lauren and Emily have also been avid supporters of RiverSpring Living.
