David V. Pomeranz

President & Chief Executive Officer

David V. Pomeranz is a 41-year veteran of RiverSpring Living. An industry leader in the application of emerging technologies for adult care, he is spearheading Hauser Care Connect, a national model that is testing and implementing new technologies to address the evolving needs of older adults. He has expertise in strategic and visionary planning and the development and operation of new programs and has shepherded a variety of innovative services and service delivery models. Pomeranz has been instrumental in building a dynamic relationship with the New York Presbyterian hospital system. Previously, he served as RiverSpring Living’s Chief Operating Officer, and managed the day to day operations of the entire portfolio, including senior residences, assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation services, home care, managed long-term care, and the nationally acclaimed Hebrew Home at Riverdale.

With more than 20 years of service, Deborah has built a distinguished career at RiverSpring Living marked by leadership, innovation, and a deep commitment to the organization’s mission.

Starting in Human Resources, Deborah developed a strong foundation in people and culture before moving into Business Development, Marketing, and Sales, where she helped strengthen RiverSpring Living’s presence and impact. Deborah’s proven ability to lead with both strategy and heart led to her appointment as Senior Vice President of Operations, overseeing programs and services that enhanced efficiency and elevated the resident experience.

Today, as Chief Operations Officer, Deborah brings this breadth of experience to guide operations across the organization. Her leadership not only honors RiverSpring Living’s legacy but also advances a clear vision for its future—ensuring the organization remains a trusted leader in senior care and innovation.

Wendy Steinberg

Chief Communications Officer

Wendy is passionate about leveraging communication as a catalyst for social good, particularly in reframing the conversation around aging. As Chief Communications Officer, Wendy helps shape and convey RiverSpring Living’s mission, values, and impact to internal and external audiences through media relations, social media, community engagement, and internal communications.

With over three decades of experience, Wendy has a deep expertise in storytelling, reflecting the magical qualities of older adults and the innovation and advancements of RiverSpring Living.

Wendy is also the architect of RiverSpring Living’s Golden Dreams program which fulfills lifelong dreams for residents – from experiencing college for the first time to ballroom dancing with a prosthetic leg.

In recognition of her achievements in the field of communications, Wendy was honored with the 2019 LeadingAge New York Advocacy Award and was among the professionals listed in the 2021 Crain’s New York Business Notable in Marketing and PR.

Steve joined RiverSpring Living as Chief Financial Officer in October 2025, bringing more than 30 years of expertise in financial modeling, strategic growth, and budget forecasting to the organization. Before joining RiverSpring, Steve spent a decade as Vice President and CFO within the Montefiore Health System. His deep financial background also includes serving as Internal Auditor, Corporate Controller, and Treasurer for two Fortune 100 companies.

A firm believer in giving back, Steve frequently volunteers as a Treasurer and Audit Committee Chair for various healthcare nonprofits. He graduated magna cum laude from Seton Hall University and is a licensed CPA in both New York and New Jersey.

As RiverSpring Living’s Chief Clinical Officer and Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for the Hebrew Home at Riverdale, Ann Marie’s responsibilities include providing leadership, overseeing clinical operations and regulatory oversight for the nursing home.

Ann Marie brings deep expertise in nursing, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary team development and leads the strategic vision and execution of all clinical programs, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and resident-centered care. Ann Marie collaborates closely with the medical team, frontline caregivers, and families to foster a culture of compassion, innovation, and accountability. During her over thirty-year tenure at RiverSpring Living, Ann Marie has held numerous positions within the organization’s housing, adult day care services, skilled nursing and corporate compliance divisions. Ann Marie Hennessy is a Registered Nurse with a Master’s in Business Administration from Iona College and Master of Science from the University of Mount Saint Vincent.

Matt brings nearly 30 years of Human Resources leadership across healthcare, higher education, the private sector, and consulting to RiverSpring Living. In this role, he leads all aspects of the organization’s human resources function, including employee engagement, workforce planning, talent development, labor relations, compensation and benefits. Matt is dedicated to building a workplace culture that reflects RiverSpring Living’s mission of compassionate, person-centered care for older adults.

Throughout his career, he has led transformative initiatives that enhance employee experience, drive organizational performance, and support the well-being of a diverse workforce. He is passionate about leveraging data and analytics to uncover emerging workforce trends and shape forward-thinking HR policies. In 2018, he received the Jefferson Award for Public Service in recognition of his commitment to community impact. Matt holds a BA in Mathematics from Baruch College, an MS in Human Resources Management from Boston University, and multiple professional certifications in human resources.

As Chief Information Officer, David oversees all enterprise-wide IT operations, and the administration of grant-funded technology initiatives designed to enhance services for residents, patients, and staff. With over 40 years of experience in healthcare information technology, David has a deep focus on post-acute and long-term care with expertise in IT strategic planning, infrastructure management, desktop and application support, project management, vendor selection, cybersecurity, risk management, strategic outsourcing, digital transformation, and team leadership.

David is a recognized leader in the field, serving as a Commissioner for LeadingAge CAST, a HIMSS Fellow, and an active member of the HIMSS LTPAC Committee. He contributes his expertise to the Bronx RHIO Technology Steering Committee, the SHIN-NY Policy Committee, and Hofstra University’s School of Health Sciences Advisory Board. In addition, he advises several health tech and aging-focused organizations, including Meela.ai, Careally.ai, and AgeTech NYC.

Senior Vice President of Quality and Corporate Compliance

David Siegelman has over 25 years of experience in driving innovative and high-quality outcome-based healthcare services. In his current role, he works with the executive team to produce clinically meaningful outcomes throughout RiverSpring Living’s continuum of care while overseeing the subacute, homecare and outpatient services. RiverSpring Living’s close relationship and partnership with hospitals is a result of David’s leadership of innovative programs and first-in-class patient outcome measures. As a result, RiverSpring Living is a preferred provider for four of the largest health systems in the NY Metropolitan region.

Since graduating from Ithaca College with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy, David has demonstrated expertise in clinical and systems management in acute care and post-acute care services. David enjoys sharing his expertise in population health, the use of award-winning technology and quality measures, with his patients, colleagues and while presenting on a national stage.

Board of Trustees - Officers

Jeff joined the Board of the Hebrew Home in 1991 and became Board Chair in 2003, renewing a deep and longstanding family connection to the institution. His great-grandparents were among the twelve founding families that brought the Hebrew Home to life in Harlem in 1917. Jeff currently serves as Board Chair of RiverSpring Living and its related entities and remains active with several other nonprofit organizations.

Jeff is Chairman of Evercore Wealth Management and Evercore Trust Company, N.A., which he and his partners founded in 2008. Today, Evercore Wealth Management is one of the leading independent registered investment advisory firms in the United States. Earlier in his career, Jeff served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of U.S. Trust.

David Sable is the Vice Chair of Stagwell, the challenger network transforming marketing through AI. David is one of the most sought-after advisors; consultants; speakers and mentors in the global marketing community.

He is the Co-Founder and Partner in DoAble, a prolific writer and published children’s author, a designated LinkedIn Influencer, where he ranks among the most widely read business leaders in the world and a Social Activist working for an end to gun violence; hunger, Bi-Partisan Legislative initiatives; an end to Bullying and in-equality.

As former Global CEO and Chairman of Y&R, David propelled Y&R to a top five global creative firm at Cannes, developed new resources and critical practices, expanded the global footprint of VML, and ultimately helped unify Y&R and VML into one marketing powerhouse: VMLY&R.

David’s involvement in the advertising industry has spanned more than 40 years. He is active in the industry as former Chairman of the Advertising Council’s Board of Directors and, for many years before, a Director-at-Large of the 4As. He has served as Jury President at Cannes three times and was a member of the Titanium jury and has won numerous awards including a Gold Marcom Award for his Video Book “Close Your Eyes” with music written by Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary. He serves as a keynote speaker at major global events, motivational speaker and advises industry leaders worldwide.

Joseph brings over 50 years of financial and operational expertise to the Board of RiverSpring Living. A dedicated leader within the organization since 2004, Joseph serves as Board Treasurer, providing strategic oversight rooted in both professional rigor and a deep personal connection to the community; both his mother and father-in-law were residents of the Hebrew Home at Riverdale and RiverWalk.

Throughout his distinguished career, Joseph has held high-level executive roles, notably serving as Executive Vice President of Operations and CFO for the U.S. division of an international public corporation. During his nearly 30-year tenure there, he was instrumental in the management team that successfully executed the company’s IPO in 2002. His broad portfolio of responsibility included finance, legal, IT, real estate, and distribution.

Currently, Joseph operates a private consulting practice focused on business planning for international luxury apparel brands and financial asset allocation for individuals.

Beyond his work with RiverSpring, he is a Board Member of Beth El Synagogue Center in New Rochelle and has served on several committees for the New York State Society of CPAs. He holds a foundational background in public accounting, specializing in audits and tax planning for the health services, banking, and real estate sectors.

Andrew is Head of the Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits in the U.S. office of Linklaters LLP. Andrew has practiced executive compensation and employee benefits for 40 years at several preeminent law firms including Paul Weiss and Weil Gotshal and has been recognized in the market as one of the top executive compensation and employee benefits lawyers in his field for many years. Andrew has had the opportunity to advise clients on a wide array of complex executive compensation and employee benefits elements of public and private mergers and acquisitions, capital market transactions, and restructuring/bankruptcy matters. In addition, Andrew has been a leader in the New York bar, advising investment fund sponsors and pension plan investors on Title I ERISA matters. Andrew has been recognized as a leading individual in employee benefits & executive compensation by Chambers USA and The Legal 500 for many years, with clients describing him as “an incredible subject matter expert who is also very practical.”

In addition to serving on the Riverspring Board of Trustees for 15 years, Andrew has served as Trustee of his alma mater Hobart College for 14 years. Andrew is an avid golfer and racquet sportsman and enjoys working out. Andrew’s wife Monica and his two adult daughters Lauren and Emily have also been avid supporters of Riverspring Living.

Constantine heads hotel development for Loews Hotels & Co. He has stewarded the placement of over $1B of firm equity, delivering more than 2,000 hotel guestrooms developed, owned, and managed by Loews.

Earlier in his career, Constantine was privileged to serve as Deputy Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer (D-NY).

A graduate of Columbia College with a degree in philosophy, Costa is a past chair of the board and current board member of Double Discovery Center, Columbia’s non-for-profit which fosters college matriculation for financially underprivileged students.

He serves on the Audit, Finance and Real Estate Committees.

Board of Trustees - Trustees

Timothy Baxter serves on multiple boards, including as chair of Skywater Technology, director of Breville Holdings Ltd, lead outside director of First Orion Corp, chair of Alliance Mobile, chair of VueReal Inc and director of PavMed. Tim is also an Operating Partner at private equity firm Centre Partners. On the Non-profit side he has served on the Board of Trustees for Roger Williams University (chair for four years) and the board of Junior Achievement USA while also donating time and effort to Covenant House of NJ. Mr Baxter brings significant experience scaling businesses and brands having spent time as President and CEO of Samsung North America and senior executive at Sony Electronics and at AT&T.

Laurence is a distinguished financial leader and strategist with over 50 years of experience. Following a 37-year career at Ernst & Young LLP, where he retired as a practice leader in the Americas Quality and Risk Management Group, he now serves as a vital advisor to boards and CEOs. Mr. Charney currently holds director and audit committee chair roles at Kenon Holdings, Ltd. and TG Therapeutics, Inc. His extensive board history includes prior leadership at Marvel Entertainment and Pacific Drilling, S.A., underscoring his deep expertise in corporate governance, risk management, and strategic growth initiatives for high-impact organizations.

A committed philanthropist and educator, he serves on the advisory council for Hofstra University’s Zarb School of Business and holds an Executive MBA from Columbia University.

Martin is a distinguished entrepreneur and business leader with more than 60 years of executive experience. He currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of a multi-million-dollar frozen food manufacturing company headquartered in upstate New York. Under his leadership, the company has achieved significant growth, operational excellence, and sustained success in a highly competitive industry.

A graduate of George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business, Martin has built his career on a foundation of strategic insight and disciplined management. His expertise has earned him a reputation as a trusted and results-driven executive.

Throughout his career, Martin has also demonstrated a deep commitment to philanthropy, dedicating his time and resources to organizations that provide healthcare for the young and the elderly and promote animal welfare. He actively supports several leading institutions, including the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center, Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, and Boston Children’s Hospital.

Martin’s enduring leadership, professional integrity, and philanthropic spirit continue to define his legacy as an accomplished executive and compassionate advocate for meaningful causes.

Daniel Reingold, MSW, JD, a transformative, award-winning leader in the field of aging, served for 35 years as President and CEO of RiverSpring and its renowned Hebrew Home at Riverdale. Dan grew RSL to a $1.2B organization serving 22,000 New Yorkers in skilled nursing, managed care, and assisted and independent living. He launched River’s Edge, NYC’s first CCRC, established the Weinberg Center for Elder Justice, the HOPE program for neurodiverse students, the nation’s first policies for use of cannabis in long term care, and policies supporting sexual intimacy. Prior to RSL, Dan was an attorney in private practice.

Isabel Rivera is an Emmy Award–winning executive producer and strategic storyteller with more than 20 years of experience across broadcast journalism, documentary filmmaking, and branded content. She has held senior leadership roles at NBC New York, Paramount Television Studios and CBS New York, producing award-winning work for national media outlets, nonprofit organizations, and cultural institutions. Isabel brings a strategic, storytelling-driven approach to communications and community engagement, creating work that informs, inspires, and builds meaningful connection. She is deeply committed to advancing dignity, respect, and quality of life for older adults and proudly serves on the Board of Trustees of RiverSpring Living.

James Shifren is a General Partner and President of hedge fund Buckland Partners. James is also a founding partner in Great Road Holdings and Dunedain Ventures, two investment partnerships focused on early-stage venture investing in private companies. Prior to joining Buckland in 2004, James was a Partner with the law firm Stroock LLP.  James received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his B.A. from Yale University.  James is a former law clerk to Chief Judge Judith Kaye of the New York Court of Appeals.

Lawrence J. Burian is the Chief Operating Officer of LIV Golf, a global professional sports league which is transforming the game of golf on a global scale. He has more than 25 years of experience across sports, entertainment, media, and hospitality, including over a decade as EVP at the MSG Sports, MSG Entertainment and MSG Networks public companies. He held leadership roles at Cablevision Systems Corporation, practiced law at Davis Polk & Wardwell and clerked for Justice Aharon Barak of the Supreme Court of Israel. Mr. Burian has extensive board-level experience at public, private and not-for-profit companies and is actively involved in numerous charitable institutions. He earned his J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A. in Economics from Yeshiva University. He resides in New Rochelle, NY with his wife, Adina. They are the proud parents of four children.

Michele Cohen has served as Chair of the Board Trustees of the Museum of Arts and Design since July 2016.

Cohen’s professional background includes nearly two decades at the investment firm Cohen & Steers. She also serves on the Board of Trustees of Alfred University. She previously served as a Trustee of Riverdale Country School, and the University of Vermont Foundation.

Cohen holds a BS from the University of Vermont and an MS from Hunter College. She is a longtime supporter of artistic and community institutions, and public education.

Margot Nones is a seasoned financial services executive with over 40 years of expertise in investment operations, compliance and strategic process improvement. Currently Ms. Nones is serving as Chief Process Officer at Pzena Investment Management LLC. Previously she held leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer at Evercore Asset Management and was Managing Director/Head of Operations for the Americas at UBS Global Asset Management. Ms. Nones is known for transforming operations through technology implementation and process reengineering while maintaining institutional quality standards. Margot holds an MBA in Finance from Clark University and a BA in Art History from Connecticut College.

Jonathan D. Resnick is president of Jack Resnick & Sons, one of New York City’s preeminent, family-owned, commercial and residential real estate management & development companies. In this position, he oversees the firm’s portfolio of over five million square feet of commercial office & retail space, and over 900 luxury rental residences. Resnick joined the company in 1996 and has served as president since 2007.

Outside of the firm, Mr. Resnick serves on the Board of Trustees of Syracuse University, and The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, NY.

Resnick sits on the Executive Committee of the Real Estate Board of New York and is also a Director of the New York Building Congress, a former chairman of the Greater New York Construction User Council, and a board member of the Borough of Manhattan Community College Scholarship Foundation.

Resnick graduated from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications 1989, and lives with his wife and children in New York’s Westchester County.
